We Don’t Produce Cases. We Craft Strategy
At The Luo Law Office, every petition is built with layered consideration, precision, and vision — the kind of work that stands the test of scrutiny, time, and opportunity.
Family Immigration
Family unity has always been at the heart of U.S. immigration law.
At The Luo Law Office, we take pride in helping families reunite and build their lives together in the United States.
Whether your loved one is already here or living overseas, we guide you through each step of the immigration process with care and attention.
Family Sponsorship
Your ability to sponsor a relative depends on your relationship, immigration status, and your relative’s age and marital status. These details determine both the visa category and the expected waiting time for your family member to immigrate.
Family members may qualify under one of two main groupings: immediate relatives or family preference categories.
Immediate relatives include spouses and unmarried children under 21 of U.S. citizens, as well as the parents of adult U.S. citizens. These cases are not subject to annual visa limits, making them generally faster to process.
Family preference categories apply to relatives who are not considered immediate family members, such as:
First Preference (F1): Unmarried adult sons and daughters of U.S. citizens
Second Preference (F2): Spouses and unmarried children of lawful permanent residents
Third Preference (F3): Married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens
Fourth Preference (F4): Brothers and sisters of adult U.S. citizens
Other family-based options include sponsorship for a fiancé(e) or prospective adopted child abroad.
Our Approach
Family-based immigration is both emotional and procedural. We take time to understand your goals and family circumstances, explain what to expect, and prepare every filing with accuracy and compassion.
Our goal is to help you secure your family’s future with a strategy that is practical, compliant, and designed for lasting peace of mind.
Success Cases
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case depends on its specific facts and circumstances. Case descriptions have been anonymized to protect client confidentiality.
